After the last mishap with the Fenton Portal, Maddie decided that if it wasn't a family member or a ghost hunter, anyone who wanted to use her technology or lab would have to be vetted. Usually this meant a security deposit but, for a close personal friend of Danny, Maddie gave her the easy Back Door procedure.
