Jo had been using her Cosmic Ring of Power to see the world for a few weeks now; Paris, Rome, Tokyo, Cairo, Hawaii, New York, Hollywood, and even Boise were all checked off her bucket list. She had a few hours to kill before her shift at Mo's Oasis started, next up was San Fransokyo!

Jo took in all the sights: the Torii Gate Bridge, Muihara Woods, the San Fransokyo Zoo and Aquarium, even checked out the possibilities of enrolling at the San Fransokyo Art Institute or SFIT.

Now Downtown, Jo had just enough time left to pick up some pastries for her mother. The Lucky Cat Cafe was the talk of Downtown, and busy as well.

Honey Lemon was working the cafe floor as an emergency temp as Aunt Cass took on some high profile catering. She had worked as a barrister long ago but she had been thrown to the wolves on one of the Cafe's busiest lunch-rushes. Jo threw on her apron and helped Honey clear the line, otherwise she would never get her pastries in time for her own shift.

Grateful to the stranger, Honey paid for Jo's order and they started reminiscing together about work woes. Jo's cell rang; she was late for work and her mother was cross, again. Jo took off in a mad dash, forgetting her order. Honey grabbed the bags and took off after her down a back alley when she got a facefull of purple portal.

Honey was now basking in the heat of the New Mexico sun behind Mo's Oasis where Jo had been planning on sneaking in for her shift. Honey and Jo ended up causing quite the commotion, Honey arguing with Jo, believing she had been using the same sort of dangerous portal technology used by Yokai not long ago. Honey fills in Jo on part in the Big Hero 6 team, and Jo explains her role as Portal Girl of the Local Heroes.

The commotion finally brought out Jo's mom. Angered by Jo's tardiness but curious of her new friend, Honey plays along as Jo crafts a story of her friend from out of town being her secret source of all the amazing pastries Flo had been gifted. When Honey handed Flo the bags of pastries all had been forgiven, but Jo had to get to work, and Honey was stranded.

Jo promised Honey she would take her home as soon as her shift was over, and totally make it worth her while. Honey spends the afternoon at the Flores Family Florists, and spends most of the evening blowing off steam with Jo after closing.
