Beneath a Shaded Sun (Commission)

(Commissioned by anonymous for Helstales patreon.)
In the land of Asamu, the shaded day is also known as the veiled night. When Lady Uru, goddess of Earth and Sun, climbed her husband’s pillar, it was said the rivers flooded and the earth itself trembled in sync with her titanic gyrations and haunting laughter. They also said the sighs echoing in the air were her husband’s, enduring Nobody, the Twin Rivers Dragon, pained grunts as his golden cow devoured him, not her, in carnal delights.

“Release all pleasures and return to the toil come morrow,” the Lady Uru ordered to her land and people.

And all were content.

Thus said the Lady of Red Reeds.
